A local AYSO Region 159 girls U10 EXTRA team capped off an undefeated season as Champion’s Cup winners for the second year in a row. The win will take the team to the Western State Championships on March 14-15 in Bullhead City, AZ.
The team earned the No. 1 seed due to their 8-0 record in the regular season. The girls put in the time and hard work to get to the finals, in the end their hard work paid off with a win in the finals, against Ladera Ranch with a 3-0 victory.
The girls Region 159 Extra U10 team are back-to-back winners of the Champions Cup as well as Irvine World Cup and 1st place in the regular season. They will represent Section 11 in March, Section 11 covers eight Areas with 64 Regions. The AYSO EXTRA program offers soccer at a more competitive level.
