The California National Guard has allocated funds in its 2010 budget in order to fund a temporary repair on runway 22L aboard the Joint Force Training Base Los Alamitos’ flight line. This physical repair of the airfield is expected to begin this fall and once complete will be operational for five to seven years.
The purpose of this initial repair is to provide a short-term fix for the runway at Los Alamitos as well as to give the California National Guard and its partners an opportunity to research and fund a long-term solution.
