St. Isidore’s is hosting a Mexican Independence Day Fiesta celebrating the 200th anniversary of Mexican liberation from Spain.
It is being held on Sunday, Sept. 12, on the grounds of St. Isidore’s Historical Plaza located at 10961 Reagan Street in Los Alamitos.
The community has gathered together to present a plethora of games, activities, music and food for young and old alike.
There are scheduled times for a young girls dancing group, a Mariachi Band, the Blues Pirates from Sacramento will be performing, and an aria will be given by an accomplished singer with her pianist.
There will be a cake walk with food donated by local restaurants such as Pollys, Mimis, Rossmoor Pastries and others.
An auction made up of special items as well as gift baskets and gift certificates will be held with a closing bidding hour of 6 p.m. A Chinese auction will also be held, which is an auction for smaller items.
A Disc Jockey will be on the premises throughout the day playing all the good songs. Everyone is invited to attend so gather your family and friends and get your tickets early.
