Sequoia Golf Group acquires lease on Old Ranch Country Club

Sequoia Golf Group has added Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach to it holdings. Through a long-term lease agreement, Sequoia plans to increase the value of club memberships, according to a prepared statement.

Sequoia says it will invest an influx of capital into the club.

The company has significant improvements planned for execution in its first year of operation to enhance the member and guest experience at the golf club.

“The addition of Old Ranch to our portfolio of clubs is a natural fit given our experience in the high-end private club space and our knowledge of the Southern California golf community,” said Joe Guerra, president and CEO of Sequoia Golf.

“Having grown up in the area and even started my career here, I’m personally excited to continue to grow Sequoia’s West Coast regional office and to work with such a renowned course as Old Ranch,” Guerra said.

“Through our unique member services, such as our PlayAway program, which allows members to play at more than 450 private clubs located across the country, we’re confident we can have an immediate impact on the overall experience available to Old Ranch members,” Guerra said.

Old Ranch Country Club boasts an 18-hole Ted Robinson-designed championship golf course, a comprehensive practice facility, fitness center, swimming pool, fine dining, an active social program, and a family friendly atmosphere.

The Club’s newly renovated Clubhouse features 30-foot glass windows that look out over the course, its lakes and fountains, and onto the San Gabriel Mountains.

“Old Ranch’s high-quality assets including its golf facilities, membership offerings and location, make it one of the top private clubs in the Southern California area,” said Tim Dunlap, regional manager at Sequoia Golf.

“Through our experience working with similar clubs, such as The Woodlands in Texas and Pauma Valley Country Club in San Diego, we are highly specialized in luxury private clubs and offer a wide selection of exclusive programs and solutions that will be a nice complement to the current offerings available to Old Ranch members,” Dunlap said.
