nter will present adoptable dogs, silent auctions and a chance to win a $1,000 Visa gift card at the 18th Annual Wag n’ Walk on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Seal Beach Pier.

The fun begins at 9 a.m. and wraps up at 2 p.m. Grand Marshal Justin Rudd of Long Beach and his bulldogs, Riley and POTUS, will lead registered participants (with or without their four-legged friends) on a 1-mile walk from the Seal Beach Pier through downtown Seal Beach.

Following the walk around town, SBACC will present adoptable dogs, contests, silent auctions and opportunity drawings—including an opportunity drawing for a $1,000 Visa gift card.

As in year’s past, this event promotes SBACC’s primary goals: to find forever homes for the lost, abandoned and otherwise unwanted animals that currently reside at the SBACC, and to provide education and public awareness about pet safety and responsibility.

2013 entertainment includes  doggie yoga

This year’s Wag n’ Walk is bigger and better than ever. Entertainment will be provided by popular Orange County band, Squeezebox.

Pet Lifestyle Coach Megan Blake will lead a flash mob with her “spokesdog” Super Smiley. And Buddy Black, winner of the 2013 Wiener Nationals, will be in attendance.

Doggie yoga, leash training, face painting, and balloon animal artists are just a few of the fun things in store this year.

Karey Roe Photography will be on hand to capture photos of participants with their four-legged friends and Sparkle Mobile Pet Grooming will offer pampering on-site.

Additionally, low cost microchipping and vaccines will be available from the Society for California Veterinary Vaccine Care.

Vendors and sponsors

Vendors ranging from pet care services providers to art and crafts vendors, along with local Seal Beach business merchants, will showcase their wares throughout the day.

The Seal Beach Lion’s club will have hot dogs on the grill and cold drinks to benefit SBACC as well as Z Pizza who will be providing their tasty vegetarian and meat lover slices.
