More than 70 high school and middle school tennis players from Los Angeles schools including South Gate, Bell and Huntington Park got a head start on the upcoming tennis season with the help of Seal Beach Tennis Center.
Members of Seal Beach Tennis Center, Head, Penn, Babolat, Pac Sun and more donated tennis rackets, clothes, tennis balls and more at an event on Sept 1.
The center and top local tennis coaches worked with the students on tennis skills including serving, hitting from the base line, volleyball close to the net at five courts at the center along with discussions about the positive effects of combining school and sports.
With the new equipment, these students are can pursue academic and athletic success.
