Seal Beach Police detectives are looking for witnesses to a stabbing that occurred Saturday. The victim was treated for injuries that were not life threatening. Police are treating the incident as an assault with a deadly weapon.
On Nov. 14, at about 6 p.m. Seal Beach Police responded to a reported robbery. The location was just along the Seal Beach/Long Beach border, just west of the rock jetty/entrance into the San Gabriel River. According to witnesses, two Caucasian men, both described as transients of Long Beach/Seal Beach, aged 58 and 57, got into a verbal and physical fight. During the fight, one man stabbed the other in the back with a knife. Both individuals were detained by responding officers and transported to local hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the argument and circumstances surrounding the assault, are under investigation. The investigation is on-going and no arrests have been made.
