The Seal Beach City Council voted to limit compensation to a consultant on the fire station project to $5,000. Staff proposed paying Vince Mastrosimone, former director of public works, $125 an hour for his services on the now-completed fire station. District 4 Councilman Gary Miller objected to the proposal because the agreement was back-dated, the project finished and the proposed hourly fee was high.
Miller also objected because there was no clearly defined work schedule for Mastrosimone’s services.
District 3 Councilman Gordon Shanks suggested limiting Mastrosimone’s pay to $5,000.
