Work crews will reduce lanes on the Seal Beach Boulevard Bridge over the I-405 freeway beginning 5 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 19.
For approximately 11 months, the bridge will be reduced to one northbound lane and one southbound lane, with a center median dedicated solely to emergency services vehicles.
The lane reduction is part of the Orange County West Connectors project. Ultimately, the freeway bridge will be rebuilt and expanded.
The city of Seal Beach has already arranged for the Long Beach Department to provide emergency services to College Park West residents during the construction project. The only entrance to the College Park West neighborhood is through the city of Long Beach.
