The Los Alamitos Board of Education honored the directors of Run Seal Beach at their meeting earlier this month by presenting them with Certificates of Appreciation for their 13 years of grants giving support to all the LAUSD schools and the various groups within them.

Over the past 13 years, the Los Al schools have received $626,265.00 from the annual race proceeds. Run Seal Beach has given out $1.3 million in the past 13 years to over 125 different non-profits groups and organizations in the Seal Beach, Los Al and Rossmoor cities, which serve tens of thousands of residents and students.  The 42nd annual Run Seal Beach is Saturday, April 9, 2016.  Run Seal Beach is also in the top five as the longest annual 10K race in the nation.
