Run Seal Beach opens Fun Run T-shirt logo contest

The new year is here and so is the annual Run Seal Beach Kid’s 1K T-Shirt Design Contest.  Run Seal Beach is looking for your design for our 2013 Kid’s Run shirt.  This year’s theme for our Fun Run is “Flying to the Finish Line.”

The contest is open to any student who attends Los Alamitos Unified School District Kindergarten through fifth graders or home scholars of same age.

All entries must be received by Friday Feb. 1.

Once again because of the support of our fantastic local Seal Beach businesses, the Run Seal Beach Committee has prizes for the winner and the two runners up.

The winning design will be featured on our 2013 Kids Run shirts and the winner will lead off the run on race day, Saturday April 13.

1st Place—Gets their design on the kids race shirts, a BMX bicycle from Main Street Cyclery and a chance to announce the start of the kids race.

2nd Place-A boogie board from alternative Surf.

3rd Place-A $50 gift certificate from Harbour Surfboards.

Rules for entry

Entries will be judged by the Run Seal Beach Race Committee for their artistic merit and how their artwork relates to the theme.

• Artwork must be submitted on an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of white paper

• Artwork must include up to four total colors

• Artwork must include the likeness of the Kids 1K Mascot “Sammy the Seal”

• Artwork should use the theme “Flying to the Finish Line!”

Fill out the entry form on the back and attach to your original artwork

Submit to the McGaugh front office or mail to PO Box 190 SB, CA 90740

Due by: Friday, Feb. 1.
