Rossmoor-Los Alamitos Republican Women Federated member and Ben Carson supporter Mari Barke, who was on-the-ground in Iowa for nearly three weeks as a Carson volunteer, will share her experiences and insight about the Iowa caucus during the Saturday, Feb. 20 Republican Women Federated breakfast meeting.
Conveniently held at Griffins Grill in Los Alamitos (11272 Los Alamitos Blvd. in the Vons Shopping Center), the program starts at 9:30 a.m. with an old-fashioned chuck wagon breakfast followed by a short meeting.
The cost is just $20 (includes breakfast) and reservations can be made by contacting Chris Barnes at Chris.Barnes4727@gmail or 562-865-3258.
“What happened to the Carson campaign was very frustrating,” Barke said. “And I fully agree with Dr. Carson that the tactics used against our campaign cannot happen again in any caucus or primary.”
Barke will share her thoughts about the dynamics between the various campaigns and what it was like to speak at a caucus on behalf of Dr. Carson.
Seating is limited.
It’s round-up time for the club with members and guests encouraged to wear western attire or accessories to the meeting.
Also on the agenda for the Feb. 20 meeting is Dr. Virginia “Ginny” Baxter who will make America’s First Ladies dramatically come alive with vivid stories about their years in the White House.
Republican women and men from northwest Orange County and greater Long Beach are invited to learn more about the club.
