Enthusiastic volunteer Luca and his family joined in the native plant restoration at River’s End Park recently. Luca loves learning the common names and scientific names of plants. He specializes in butterflies and their favorite host plants. Luca has created a map of the park in his mind knowing every native and non-native plant. Want to volunteer like Luca? Evening is ideal, with the summer’s cool breeze and beautiful sunsets. Come pull a few weeds and learn about native California coastal plants (gloves and tools provided).
