RCSD seeks new general manager

The Rossmoor Community Services District is looking for a new general manager.

The Rossmoor board recently decided to move from having HTGroup manage the district to hiring full time employee to serve as general manager.

Consulting General Manager Henry Taboada has reduced his hours to a four-day workweek and wants to work fewer hours, according to a recent district press release.

One reason for the change, according to the unsigned district statement, is that California law now prohibits the use of an independent contractor in a position that should be filled by an employee.

The Board therefore has elected to hire a part-time (20 hours per week) employee general manager and to utilize HTGroup (Taboada) as a consultant. This will enable a smooth transition for the new general manager and maintain the experience of HTGroup for a while longer.

At an appropriate time, as determined by the Board, the general manager will become full time and HTGroup will be available as needed. The most qualified applicants will be interviewed by the Board and a selection will be announced at a future meeting of the Board.
