Ralphs Grocery Company has donated $2,000 to Friends of Weaver to support Jack Weaver Elementary School’s Music Intelligence Neural Development Program.
The Music Intelligence Neural Development Program is a non-language based tool for teaching and learning mathematics through visual instructional software.
It is used by all students from Kindergarten through fifth-grade at Weaver.
Earlier this month, Weaver Elementary recognized Ralphs for the donation at the school’s weekly flag ceremony on Friday, March 4. Erin Kominsky, principal of Weaver, presented Ralphs Seal Beach Store Director Julie Richard with an award and thanked Ralphs for helping to improve the quality of life in our community.
Friends of Weaver was founded in 1999 as a non-profit organization dedicated to acquiring, maintaining, improving, and updating technological resources at Weaver.
FOW provides funding for the music intelligence program. FOW also provides funding for a credentialed teacher on special assignment in Weaver’s Media Center to deliver music intelligence instruction.
In addition, FOW works in collaboration with the principal, staff and teachers, Weaver PTA and parents to determine the technological needs of the school.
