The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Jan. 16, to consider request to permit a hotel use within an existing building at 1 Anderson St. (The commission normally meets on Mondays, but Monday, Jan. 15, is Martin Luther King Day.)
The hearing will be held at 7 p.m., in the City Council Chambers.
A Google search identified 1 Anderson St. as the iconic Water Tower.
According to a legal notice published in the Jan. 4 edition of the Sun, applicants Gregg and Mary DeNicola, the property owners, are seeking approval of a conditional use permit to run a. hotel in a residential structure located in the General Commercial Zone. According to the notice, only minor modifications are required for the business.
“If you challenge the proposed actions in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Seal Beach at, or prior to, the public hearing,” according to the notice.
