Phillip’s Restaurant in the Seal Beach Village Shopping Center, located next door to Leisure World, permanently closed its doors Saturday, July 28. The restaurant had struggled for a few years, particularly after the Primrose Restaurant moved into the former Layla’s location in the same part of the center.
Acouple of years ago, the owners of Phillip’s posted a sign in the front door announcing that they had to raise their prices after having gone through their savings.
Phillips was a popular hang-out for Leisure World residents.
