It’s time to get a Rossmoor Homeowners Holiday Light Post of your own to decorate your lawn and share in the festivities.
It’s been a full year, and the elves are getting fidgety again, ready to build more Rossmoor Holiday Light Posts. Last year’s Light Post “Santa’s Workshop” was a huge success, and the Rossmoor Homeowners Association is going to host it again on Saturday, Nov. 23.
We ran out of materials last year, so get your order in early this year. You can decorate your yard for the holiday season, even before Thanksgiving. Then leave it up through the New Year’s celebration!
There are many occasions for you to decorate your post, and the RHA makes it simple to acquire one. Details to the workshop are below, but if you would prefer an elf build one for you and deliver it to your door (not down the chimney), we can make that happen too.
We will purchase all the materials in bulk and have them ready to start building on that Saturday, with experienced “post-building” volunteers to provide exact instructions and help you from start to finish.
Each post made at the workshop will take about an hour to assemble. All the materials, including the lamp, mounts, screws, inside wire, brackets and ribbon, will be provided, so your light post can be immediately ready to display!
The price of each post is $70, without the lighted garland, or $100 with the 9’ lighted garland. If you cannot make it to the workshop on Nov. 23, we’ve recruited several neighborhood elves who can build it for you, and the additional cost is $20 for assembly and delivery.
We’d love to have you participate! You can see an actual post on display now located in front of 2751 Mainway Drive.
To sign up, email me, Chris Marshall, at RossmoorLights@gmail.com or call me at 562-343-6908 by Wednesday, Nov. 20. The number of posts we can make is limited due to materials, so order yours early. We will run out. Also, please forward this to any of your Rossmoor neighbors so several of you on the street can share a common Christmas Lights theme.
