News bulletin: Seal Beach pier set to open today

Part of the Seal Beach Pier is expected to open today, Tuesday, June 14, around noon. During Monday night’s City Council meeting, Community Development Director Jim Basham said the pier could be opened after a scrub down.

District One Councilwoman Ellery Deaton will be there at 11:30 a.m. for the opening.

The pier has been closed to the public since a May 20 fire destroyed two closed buildings at the end of a pier.
