McGaugh Elementary School will present its annual “Come Walk in My Shoes” day on Friday, Oct. 9, from 8:15 a.m.-2:15 p.m. The disability awareness program provides hands-on opportunities for students and teachers to gain insight into the experience of living with physical and developmental challenges.

Throughout the day, hundreds of students in grades K-5 will rotate through six “challenges” that simulate physical and intellectual impairments, such as navigating the campus in a wheelchair and wearing special glasses that alter eye focus while tossing beans bags.
