The Los Alamitos Police investigators are seeking possible witnesses to a fatal shooting that occurred last weekend.
On Sunday, Oct. 25, at approximately 5:05 p.m., officers responded to the area of Pine Street and Catalina Street in Los Alamitos due to a report of shots heard. Upon arrival, officers found a man who had been shot. He was declared dead at the scene.
Investigators have determined that Los Alamitos resident Eleazar Vargas, 41, was in the area at the time of the shooting. Los Alamitos Police describe Vargas as a “person of interest.”
