Cartridge World of Los Alamitos recently presented Hopkinson Elementary with an Environmental Recognition Certificate. Hopkinson has teamed up with Cartridge World of Los Alamitos to teach their students the importance of recycling while also earning funds for their PTA’s projects. Hopkinson students bring in empty ink and toner cartridges collected from their neighborhood and parents work place. Cartridge World in return donates funds for the cartridges back to their PTA. This program not only helps to keep the landfills from filling up as soon, but also shows the children that what was once thrown

away has value. Hopkinson will also be sponsering an E-Waste drop off day on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Anyone may come by the school on May 22nd and drop off any electronic items they no longer need.
