The Los Alamitos High School Choir Program came home as grand champions from the Show Choir Nationals in Nashville last weekend. They brought back a variety of awards.
The school’s advanced mixed choir, SoundFX, was named grand champion in the mixed division finals for triumphing in the vocals and visuals categories.
Its advanced women’s choir, Soundtrax, also was named grand champion by outranking other groups in vocals, visuals and overall effect.
Mario Arias who has been singing in Spanish, English, and Italian with his father since he could talk, captured the outstanding male soloist medal.
