Card sharks and casual players are invited to deal themselves in on Saturday, Jan. 23 for the inaugural “Texas Hold ’Em” Poker Tournament benefiting the Los Alamitos High School baseball program.
The big game will take place at the American Legion Post 716 in Los Alamitos.
The American Legion Post 716 is located at 3252 Florista St. in Los Alamitos.
Check-in starts at 5 p.m. and play begins at 5:45 p.m.
The evening’s chip champion will go home with the top prize of a new high-definition television.
Players will vie for Angels Diamond Club seats, Angels tickets near player dugouts, field level Dodger tickets, fourth row Chivas soccer tickets, “hog packs” from the Naples Rib Company, cash, and more.
A donation of $100 includes a buy-in for the tournament, dinner from the Naples Rib Company and cocktail tickets.
There is also a “dinner only” option for $15 for those who would like to enjoy a fun night out and support the program.
Player seating is limited.
“No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em” rules will apply for the evening. Everyone will start with an equal amount of chips, and blinds and antes will escalate as the night progresses. Players will advance down to a final table, playing for prizes and bragging rights as the best poker player in Los Alamitos.
