Long Beach Transit extortion

As a very concerned, senior/disabled, 65-year-old, Long Beach Transit bus-rider, (who currently rides the LBT #171 and #131 buses into and out of “Old Town” Seal Beach, several times per week) I (and so many Long Beach and Seal Beach bus passengers) am now being given the great choice of walking one mile each way from Long beach Transit’s closest last stops, or waiting and paying extra for the Orange County Transit Authority bus #1 which runs in one-hour intervals.

Who would want to, regularly, hike to Seal Beach?

All Seal Beach bus-riders have been disenfranchised by Long Beach Transit Authority and it’s CEO Larry Jackson.

Is extortion by Long Beach Transit Authority more honorable than is alleged racism on the part of a few Seal Beach citizens (who do not represent the bulk of Seal Beach citizens)?

It is the duty of city officials and LBT CEO Jackson to provide easily accessible bus service to long-time utilized routes. Long Beach and Seal Beach need to heal their sensitivities, and work together to keep adequate bus service into Old Town Seal Beach.

After all, we are all adults, aren’t we?

Please make any and all money transactions be made transparent to all Long Beach and Seal Beach citizenry, (between Long Beach and Seal Beach, as well as between any other cities with similar pay-offs).

This “craziness” needs to be immediately stopped, and all Long Beach transit and Seal Beach bus passengers need to be protected.

Please use your influence, Mayor Foster.

You need to see to it that at least one or two Long Beach Transit route continue to service Old Town Seal Beach, as soon as is feasible.

I implore Mayor Foster to help protect both Long Beach Transit and Seal Beach passengers, who really do need the current bus service into Old Town Seal Beach.

This current skirmish over money and power is hurting lots of passengers who do not have much of a voice.
