The Los Alamitos Board of Education will hold its next meeting Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the Seal Beach City Council Chamber.

Tina Dingillo, executive assistant to the Superintendent and Board of Education, said the meeting will open at 3:30 p.m. For a brief workshop on district safety, followed by a closed session meeting. Regular open session will be at 6:30 p.m.

Until recently, district meetings were held in Los Alamitos.

However, the District offices are the last buildings to be modernized as part of Measure K, and the new Boardroom will not be available until October 2015.

All future Board meetings, from October through March, will be held in the Seal Beach City Council Chambers.

Board meetings from April through September of 2015 will be held in the Los Alamitos City Council Chambers.

It will take a full year to fully modernize the District Office Buildings.

“During this time, we appreciate the support of the cities of Los Alamitos and Seal Beach,” said  Dr. Sherry Kropp, superintendent of the Los Alamitos School District. “This is a strong testament to the partnerships the District has with two of the cities we strive to serve and support.”
