The Run Seal Beach™ Race Committee is looking for creative students to draw our T-shirt design for the 2017 Kids 1K Fun Run by tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 17! The 2017 design contest theme is “Surf, Sun, Fun, Run!” Thanks to the support of local Seal Beach businesses, the winner and the two runners up will win these amazing prizes.
1st Place – Your design on the kids race shirts & a bike from Main Street Cyclery
2nd Place – A body board from Alternative Surf
3rd Place – A $50 gift card from Harbour Surboards
Any current student who attends elementary school in the LAUSD district or Seal Beach home schoolers (Kindergarteners to age 10 by 12/1/2016) can participate in the contest. Entries will be judged by the Run Seal Beach™ Race Committee based on their artistic merit and how well the artwork relates to this year’s theme, ”Surf, Sun, Fun, Run!”
Artwork must be submitted on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of white paper, may include up to four colors (black and white are “free”) and must include the likeness of the Kids 1K Mascot “Sammy the Seal” and the them “Surf, Sun, Fun Run!” To enter, complete your design according to the guidelines, print and fill out the entry form found at http://runsealbeach.com/kids-fun-run and attach your original artwork. Please put your full name on the back of the artwork only and submit to the McGaugh front office or mail it to PO Box 190 SB, CA 90740. All entries are due by tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 17, and winners will be announced soon after.
