The annual Los Alamitos/Seal Beach Rotary Club Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Seal Beach Pier. Youngsters aged 15 and under are invited to enter a friendly age-group fishing contest (catch, weigh and release).
This year’s sponsors include the Run Seal Beach Committee, NOAA, United Anglers of California, and CA Fish & Game Commission. Registration will be from 7 to 9 a.m. near the beginning of the pier; the Tournament will be from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Bring your own rod and reel, or borrow one.
