Junior Girl Scout Troop 2370 recently earned their Bronze Award by “Beautifying the Seal Beach Animal Care Center.”

They painted the hallways of the cat building with a colorful mural of grass and sky and clouds and cats.

The project took about two months and a lot of hard work by the girls with help from Jenny Rozint, their troop leader, and many of the other parents.

The girls are all 10-11 years old and in fifth-grade. The girls received donations from parents and the community to buy paint and collect supplies.  They did an awesome job and even used some leftover donations to buy dog food and make a monetary donation to the shelter!

The girls seen in the picture are, left to right in front row: Chloe Aala, Katie Meehan, Kaylie Reichert, Tiffany Silvers, Katie Falco, Madeline Austin, and Carly Niedringhaus.

Back row left to right: Ashlyn Friedland, Noe Lee, Taylor Barbee, Rebecca Rozint, and Ella Matejka. Not pictured: Milana Henderson, and Hayley Slome.
