The incredible first official Seal Beach Centennial event, the Happy 100th Birthday Seal Beach Golf Tournament, will be held Monday, May 4, at the Old Ranch Country Club. This modern 18-hole “Old Ranch” course at the features 6,835 yards of golf for a par of 72. The course rating is 69.2, and it has a slope rating of 123 on Bermuda grass.

Designed by Ted Robinson, ASGCA, the Old Ranch golf course opened in 2001 and opened its doors inviting members of the community to escape the stress of long workdays and enter a golfer’s paradise. Hidden within 128 acres of lakes and lush, tree-lined fairways in beautiful Seal Beach, the Country Club offers the perfect getaway. Come experience this hidden gem with a special golf tournament 100 years in the making. Celebrate the Seal Beach Centennial with a “scramble” style format (four-member team – best ball) by showing those skills. Chip, slice, and drive down the fairway in honor of 100 years. There is fun for everyone: opportunity drawing prizes, putting contest, best male and female drives, and much more.
There will be: Alfredo’s famous egg burritos, specialties from Hennessey’s, Mahi Mahi, hamburgers, amd backyard Mary’s tasty Bloody Mary’s plus other snacks, and après appetizers supplied by the Country Club.
Prizes will include a hole-in-one two-year lease on a new Selman Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a helicopter drop of golf balls.
Registration is 9 a.m. to check in and 11 a.m. shotgun start.
