The Los Alamitos High girls’ volleyball team won its sixth CIF title. It bested Mater Dei in the CIF IIA championship round with a 25-23, 23-25, 25-15, 25-23 on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Santiago Canyon College at Orange.
This marked the squad’s first title since 2011.
The Griffins improved their overall record to 32-4 with the win. They received an impressive performance from Crissy Jones, who delivered a team-high 20 kills and 19 digs. Her teammate Annie Hale ended with 19 kills and Rylee Hunt recorded 35 digs.
