In 2007, Natalie King Wilson graduated from the Cleveland Clinic of Los Angeles and began practicing full time her life long dream of being a chiropractor.

This June, she celebrated five years of successful business in Seal Beach with a reception at Crema Café who also celebrates an anniversary later this summer. Ranging in locations from the 903 Electric building, to working in collaboration with Beach Fitness, Dr. Wilson finally settled on a functional suite in the 909 Electric building.

Natalie did develop her ideal target market – that of pregnant mothers, young children and infants and simply, the “whole family wellness.”

When asked about her success in achieving a robust business in a small town like Seal Beach and who helped her most, she replied, “My village, the support of my family, friends and patients is key!

“It’s not always pretty but I love what I do and it’s not work so it is a priority, but my kids and husband are also equally a priority so I try to involve them when I can and make it a team effort that we can all enjoy.”

She also had some basic homespun advice for her fellow chiropractors just beginning their practice, “[chiropractors] who are just starting out or struggling have to understand that you don’t need the big fancy office on the street corner, just build honest relationships and your patients will find you.”

Even her patients really notice how she stays focused on them. One during this interview said, “she has created something that is not like most practices. The experience of seeing Dr. Natalie feels small, family centered, and she spends quality time with both of my kids and on me.”

For Natalie, that kind of connection is just par for the course. When you look around Seal Beach, any business, which survived through the last recession, must be doing something right and clearly Dr. Natalie is. As a business highlight, her method of focusing just on a key market and keeping a low overhead makes sense, particularly in today’s highly competitive realm of personal services.
