Seal Beach Deputy City Clerk Anita Chapanond has earned the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk, which is awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, Inc.
“We are very proud of Ms. Chapanond’s commitment to improvement of her professional abilities, for the benefit of our residents” said Seal Beach Mayor David Sloan.
IIMC grants the CMC designation only to those municipal clerks who complete demanding education requirements and who have a record of significant contributions to their local government, their community and state.
“On behalf of the IIMC Board of Directors, I am honored to endorse the conferring of CMC to Suchada Anita Chapanond, of the City of Seal Beach. We share your pride in this achievement and we applaud your support of the role Ms. Chapanond plays in your city.” said Sharon K. Cassler, IIMC President.
In light of the speed and drastic nature of change these days, lifelong learning is not only desirable, it is necessary for all in local government to keep pace with growing demands and changing needs of the citizens we serve.
According to a press release issued by the city of Seal Beach, officials expressed immense pride in Chapanond’s achievement of this milestone.
“Congratulations go out to Anita for accomplishing two milestones this year—not only has she completed her certification as a Certified Municipal Clerk, but she has also finished her masters program at California State University, Long Beach in public administration. Anita is definitely an asset to not only the City Clerk’s office, but to the City of Seal Beach.” said Seal Beach City Clerk Linda Devine.
