The Orange County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case of a man accused of injuring five individuals during a 2023 hit-and-run collision, according to a June 16 email by Seal Beach Police Lt. Julia Clasby.
“The case has been submitted to the DA’s Office for review and is pending their decision for charges,” Clasby wrote.
As the Sun reported last year, the collision took place on or about 7:11 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street in Seal Beach.
Following the collision, the driver reportedly fled on foot.
The alleged driver, Jahson Imgrund, then a resident of Lake Forest, turned himself into the Seal Beach Police Department on Sunday, Feb. 19.
At the time of his arrest, an SBPD statement reported he was booked on suspicion of violating California Vehicle Code 20001(b)(2) – Felony Hit and Run with Serious Bodily Injury.
Five individuals, Los Alamitos High School students, were injured in the collision.
According to the 2023 Sun article by Sofia Youngs, the suspect’s Mercedes Benz was traveling at more than 80 miles an hour. (See, “Seal Beach car crash leaves Los Alamitos students hospitalized,” at sunnews.org.
