Crime Log: National Night Out in Seal Beach

The Seal Beach Police Department will host the National Night Out from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 6, on Ocean Avenue between Main and Eighth Street.

National Night Out is a celebration of a community’s triumph over crime, oppression and fear. Many city departments will be represented as a part of the community outreach effort that city officials hope will educate the public as to what services are available.

There will be presentations on crime prevention, RAD Kids and other topics.

The Seal Beach Police Officer’s Association will sponsor a bounce house for the children. Target will serve free hot dogs.

In all, National Night Out is a great excuse to get out of the house and celebrate all of the things that make Seal Beach a great place to live, work and shop.
