SATURDAY, MARCH 6

• Truck Burglary (Priority 3)—9:10 a.m.— Fourteenth Street (Old Town) — Someone ransacked a truck the night before and stole hand tools out of it. Report taken.

• Transient (Priority 3)—11:21 a.m. —Twelfth Street (Old Town) –  The reporting person spotted a suspected transient throwing up and falling over repeatedly. Police were unable to locate.

• Disturbing the Peace (Priority 3)—12:58 p.m. —Bayou Way (The Hill) –  Christopher Ramirez, 33, was arrested on suspicion being under the influence of a controlled substance or narcotic drug. The reporting person told police that he had not slept for two days, had been running around the neighborhood in the nude, and was using the hot tub in the backyard.

• Transient (Priority 3)—1:08 p.m. —Seal Beach Boulevard –  A suspected transient was writing down random license plate numbers off of cars in a parking lot,  and then left the area before he could be contacted.

• Suspicious Person (Priority 2)—5:55 p.m. —Seal Beach Boulevard – The reporting person called police after discovering a person changing clothes and talking to himself on the reporting person’s porch. The suspicious person may have been under the influence and left before police arrived at the scene.

• Car Burglary (Priority 3)—6:25 p.m. —Marina Drive (Old Town) – Christopher Delarosa, 33, was arrested for a charge of burglary after allegedly smashing a car window and taking items out of the car. He was tracked by police riding away on what was apparently a stolen electric bike.

• Patrol Check (Priority 3)—7:26 p.m. —Seal Beach Boulevard – A suspected petty thief who is believed to have stolen from multiple places in the area was spotted coming out of another store. The store in question did not report a loss, and the police were unable to locate the suspected thief in question.

• Person Down (Priority 1)—8:21 p.m. —Main Street (Old Town) – Richard Swinford, 52, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after being found unconscious but breathing on Main Street.

• Patrol Check (Priority 3)—10:52 p.m. —Ocean Avenue and Twelfth Street (Old Town) – Six drunk kids on bikes were reported to be going up and down Ocean Avenue, hitting car mirrors. Police were unable to locate the children.

SUNDAY, MARCH 7

• Animal Noise (Priority 3)—03:21 a.m. —Surf Place (The Hill) – The reporting person said they heard a dog barking and were concerned that the dog in question was trying to send a message. The dog could not be located.

MONDAY, MARCH 8

• Disturbing the Peace (Priority 2)—9:34 a.m.—Pacific Coast Highway —  Eric Alexander Wilson, 35, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance. Wilson had been reported earlier to the police for standing in a store’s parking lot and scaring customers by screaming at them. Wilson was also reported to be constantly lifting the planters outside the store and appeared to be under the influence.

• Welfare Check (Priority 2)—10:39 a.m.—North Gate Road — An 89-year-old man came to the door of the fire station located at North Gate Road and repeatedly asked to make a tax appointment with them.  He sounded confused and was counseled by police.

• Transient (Priority 3)—12:15 p.m. —Bolsa Avenue and Southshore Drive –  A man in his 30s in a very agitated state was yelling and cursing at residents walking by.  Police were unable to locate him.

• Assault with Deadly Weapon (Priority 2)—2:29 p.m.—Westminster Avenue– James Shadrach Hoard, 46, was arrested on suspicion of throwing a large rock at the reporting person’s car window. He was also reportedly throwing things at other passing cars and was reported by a second individual.

• Disturbing the Peace (Priority 3)—6:35 p.m. —Avalon Drive (The Hill) –  The reporting person stated that juveniles were digging in the park.  The person also requested that signs be installed in the park to address the issue. The incident was logged.

TUESDAY, MARCH 9

• Car Burglary (Priority 3)—8:16 a.m. —Marina Drive (Old Town) –  The rear window of a car was smashed.

• Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Priority 2)—2:47 p.m. —Alderwood Lane –  Robert Snyder, 56, was arrested on the charge of assault with a deadly weapon after reportedly pointing a gun at his mother the day before. The reporting person said his brother was having a mental breakdown and that he took the weapon away from him.

• Assault (Priority 2)—3:50 p.m. —Bayou Way (The Hill) –  Christopher Ramirez, 33, was arrested on suspicion of assault after getting into a physical fight with the reporting person’s husband. This was his second arrest for the week.
