The Seal Beach Marine Safety Department has issued a weather advisory for the city’s coastline area. Officials expect the following weather conditions from Friday, February 28, 2014 to Sunday, March 2:

  • Surf – Expect surf to build Saturday morning with the peak of 10 to 12 feet around midday. This is a swell and should drop considerably on Sunday.

  • Tides – Saturday morning we will have a 6.0 high tide at 8:51 AM.  This may cause some pooling of water under the pier.  At this time we don’t expect any damage to be caused by the surf and high tide.

  • Rain – Heavy rain on Friday with scattered showers on Saturday and Sunday.

If requested, sandbags can be obtained at the Seal Beach Lifeguard Headquarters, 888 Ocean Avenue, Seal Beach, CA 90740. Additional bags are located at Landing and Seal Beach Boulevard, Arbor Park and Fire Stations 44 and 48.
