The Beach Cities Stingrays celebrate their win. For the names of the champions, see the article.

Beach Cities Stingrays are the new Surf City Champions.

They competed against the top middle school lacrosse teams in Southern California over Mother’s Day weekend.

They were the only team to enter the championship round undefeated where they went head to head with their Orange County rival, La Paz Storm.  Early on in the championship game La Paz tied up the score at 2-2.

Beach continued to rack up the goals and lead the rest of the game, winning handily with a score of 11-6.

The San Diego teams took 3rd and 4th place.  The Beach girls made it look easy to play lacrosse.  This team has plenty of depth and understanding of how to play as a team to be successful on the field.

They can now claim bragging rights to being the best girls’ middle school lacrosse team in Orange County and Southern California.
