A garden grows on Naples Island

Joyce Levinson, of Naples Island (in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach), has two adjacent homes on the island, allowing her family to landscape on a double lot.

Joyce Levinson, of Naples Island (in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach), has two adjacent homes on the island, allowing her family to landscape on a double lot. “The garden has many different color foliage to cut down on upkeep and 12 rose bushes including two climbing roses. Our trees include a Red Bud Forest Pansy, Champaca, Mayten, Dwarf Peach and Meyer Lemon and three different kinds of Japanese Maples,”  Levinson said. She offers this rose therapy tip for her fellow gardeners: “Plant banana peels in the ground for power vitamins!”
