Joyce Levinson, of Naples Island (in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach), has two adjacent homes on the island, allowing her family to landscape on a double lot. “The garden has many different color foliage to cut down on upkeep and 12 rose bushes including two climbing roses. Our trees include a Red Bud Forest Pansy, Champaca, Mayten, Dwarf Peach and Meyer Lemon and three different kinds of Japanese Maples,” Levinson said. She offers this rose therapy tip for her fellow gardeners: “Plant banana peels in the ground for power vitamins!”
