The “Teen Recognition Program” is sponsored by Lions Clubs International District 4-L4 to recognize, support and reward teens for their volunteer leadership efforts in promoting an alcohol, tobacco and drug-free lifestyle to their peers. Los Alamitos High School senior Evan Jenkins was one of seven award recipients from Orange County. Jenkins is a senior at Los Alamitos High School, president of the Seal Beach Leo Club and has performed more than 500 community service hours over the past three years. Besides living a drug, alcohol and tobacco free lifestyle, Jenkins has been instrumental in guiding the Leos to support programs like Every-15-Minutes, Safe Ride and Grad Night.
