Seal Beach Police seek bank robbery suspect

The US Bank in the Seal Beach Ralphs Grocery Store was robbed Thursday afternoon, May 23.

At about 4:20 p.m., the Seal Beach Police Department responded to a robbery alarm activation at the US Bank located in the Ralphs Grocery Store in the Towne Center. Responding officers determined that the bank had been robbed moments earlier. Officers from the Los Alamitos Police Department assisted in checking the area for the suspect. The suspect fled the area in an unknown direction. The suspect got away.

The suspect was described by witnesses as: a white man, 30-35 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 170 pounds, with a thin build, brown hair, clean shaven, wearing blue pants, a long sleeve blue shirt under a white t-shirt and wearing black shoes. He appeared to have a large tattoo on his neck. He carried a large backpack. He was seen leaving the area in an older four-door sedan. The loss is an undetermined amount of cash.
