The Annual Original Parts Group Classic Car Show took place last Sunday, April 7 and it was a record-breaking event, according to OPGI executive Tony Genty.
“We’re very pleased with the show and turnout, it’s easily twice as large as last year and our most successful yet,” he said.
The event is nationally-televised on Hot Rod TV. There were over 200 cars on display—all of them General Motors models, mostly representing the era that the catalog-merchant specializes in. Well over 1,000 people attended. Vendors ranged from aftermarket to accessory companies – including Custom Auto Sound and Edelbrock, but also included local’s such as the Seal Beach Animal Care Center and Inflight Surfing.
Seal Beach Lion’s Club served a pancake breakfast, with The Abbey, and Taco Surf serving lunch. OPGI also awarded a number of prizes to car entries, including a $500 OPGI Gift Certificate. The Seal Beach Car Show will be held on April 27.
