With the summer days at an end and the school year ahead, colder weather on the way and the fall closing in, August Ray had an idea to bring her friends together for one more day of surfing – with their dads.
Ray got together on Sunday, Sept. 22 with Michael Pless, the founder and teacher at M&M Surfing School of Seal Beach.
“It was her brianchild,” Pless said of the plucky Ray who organized the event and gathered everyone together for the event with a little help from her father Michael Ray. About 20 dads and daughters from Seal Beach joined in for a morning surfing session at the city’s main beach. After their time in the water, the entourage headed to Nick’s for some burritos.
