The Christmas season will kick into high gear on Saturday, Nov. 30 with the annual Tree Lighting ceremony at the foot of the Seal Beach Pier.
The event runs from 4 to 7 pm. with the lighting on the 18-foot-tall tree at dusk. The Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce, which hosts the event, is selling gift tag tree ornaments with limited availability at (562) 799-0179.
There is season fun with real snow pumped into the area, servings of hot cocoa, coffee and pastries. Santa will be on hand to take photos that may be submitted to the Sun Newspaper to be posted online. The Orange County Song and Dance troupe will be on hand along with an ongoing toy drive.
More holiday fun will take place at the Seal Beach Christmas parade on Friday, Dec. 6, Breakfast With Santa on Dec. 14 at Marina Park with a special toy drive for Honoring Our Fallen.
