Trinidad Robles, 51, of Orange was the first person to cross the finish line at around 8:18 a.m., Saturday, April 5, at the Run Seal Beach 5K Open Run/Walk.
“I’m more proud of this—my age,” Robles said.
This was his first Run Seal Beach in many years. He said he had participated in one of the first of the 40-year-old run/walk events.
Robles said it was good that the Seal Beach race had grown.
Robles just finished the Los Angeles Marathon in early March. He said it was easier to start with a marathon as a base to run other races, but hard to get back to going fast. Robles is getting ready for the Rock N Roll Run in San Diego.
