Reunited with surfboard

My name is Gary Snow and I am the author of the song “The Sting Ray Shuffle.”

As fate would have it, after five years of surfing at the river I was stung by a sting ray.

I want to thank the good Samaritan that found my surfboard and called the SBPD.

In the hurry to get home and soak my foot, I left my board behind.

There were no sympathizers at my local haunts, but everyone had a different suggestion for new verses for “The Stingray Shuffle.”

Then a neighbor drew my attention to a report in the police log of The Sun and my board and I were back in the water as soon as my infection from the sting cleared.

I appreciate living in a town where we all look out for each other. I also want to thank Charles at The Sun for posting it in the police log and the Seal Beach Police for taking such good care of my board.

Thanks to all of you

Gary Snow
