Pastor Bayless Conley, the founding pastor of Cottonwood Church in Los Alamitos, will preach this weekend for the first time since he was injured in a boating accident in January.
Conley was one of three men injured during what was supposed to be a fishing trip.
It has been approximately five and a half months since he was airlifted from Catalina after the powerboat he was on ran aground.
According to a statement issued by the church, due to the severity of his injuries, some of his doctors felt that it would be about 18 months before he could resume his duties. Conley was the most seriously injured of the three.
