Local Pro Motorcycle racer Nicky Reimer won big at the recent Round 1 of the 2015 AMA Supermoto Series held in Riverside.
Nicky, who is a Seal Beach resident and sophomore at Los Al High School, won his Pro 250cc Class, now leads the points in the series that will take him around the USA for the next six months in this eight round series.
This recent weekend’s event drew competitors from all across the country and Europe, and is the only event that will be held in California this year.
The next seven rounds of the series will take him to all corners of the U.S. and the team expects to log close to 40,000 miles this year.
Riding since age 4, and racing since age 5, Nicky is more comfortable on the race track than he is in the classroom.
Team Manager Paul Pecorora of Simi Valley said, “We have been working with Nicky for a number of years now and he has developed into a serious racer.
“We are providing the motorcycles, the mechanics, and the technicians and Nick supplies the talent and the commitment. We like to win and so does Nick,” said Pecorora.
