For the fourth consecutive year, Rossmoor Woman’s Club has donated school backpacks to the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base Family Assistance Center. This center provides support to the families of armed services personnel.
Woman’s Club members were able to help them by donating 148 backpacks and 75 notepads. The backpacks and notepads will be given to the children of military families before the start of school. Twelve Target gift cards worth $50 each will be distributed to families as needed.
The Rossmoor Woman’s Club is a non-profit philanthropic group committed to helping the local community and schools. The annual Holiday Home Tour and Garden Tour fund raisers as well as donations from the section groups such as Potpourri make these donations possible.  The club is open to all women of the surrounding communities. For more information, call 562-810-7139.
