Briefing Room: Introducing SBPD’s two newest officers

As is our tradition, we want to introduce the community to the two newest members of our SBPD team. 

Please join us in welcoming our newest Seal Beach Police officers, Kevin Reynolds and David Wolff.

Kevin Reynolds 

Kevin Reynolds

Kevin Reynolds was born in Long Beach but lived most of his life in Rossmoor and Seal Beach. Kevin graduated from Los Alamitos High School in 2000, and briefly attended California State University Long Beach until 2003.  In 2004, Kevin joined the United States Marine Corps with several combat deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan and ultimately separated from the Marines in 2013.  In 2019, Kevin graduated from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Academy and started his career in law enforcement at the Santa Ana Police Department and later transitioned to the Torrance Police Department from 2020-2024. Kevin has been married for 14 years to his wife and, when away from work, helps train dogs in obedience and agility.

David Wolff 

David Wolff

David Wolff was born and raised in Michigan and enlisted in the Marines following high school where he served 4 years in infantry and was stationed in Hawaii, Okinawa, Japan, Korea, and Australia and then honorably discharged in 1999.  Upon his return David attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn and majored in International Studies, studying in Spain and graduating in 2007. David has been a police officer for twelve years and started his career at San Diego PD and worked Patrol and the Narcotics Unit. After meeting his wife, David moved to Los Angeles and lateraled to Torrance PD, where he worked Patrol, Detectives, and became a Field Training Officer. David can speak, read, and write Spanish and in his spare time enjoys playing guitar, reading, exercising, and traveling and trying new foods with his wife.
